We rode across the States from Florida to California to raise funds for the RNLI’s Creches for Bangladesh Appeal. Click on the photo to support the charity’s International work.

‘Best by Bike’  is a website written by cycling enthusiasts Paul Dunt and Terry Wooller and is all about journeys best made by bike.
It covers two transcontinental rides across the U.S.  – the Southern Tier which we rode in 2019 and goes from Florida to California and the TransAmerica from Virginia to Oregon which we cycled in 2014.
It also includes reports on previous rides plus articles and links for anyone thinking of undertaking a long-distance, or even short-distance, cycle. But most of all its about the fun and friendship to be had on two wheels.
Our 2019 ride raised around £4,500 for the RNLI’s Creches for Bangladesh Appeal.  Each day around 40 children drown in village ponds in Bangladesh.  The RNLI is working alongside other partners to try and tackle this epidemic by funding creches which keep young children safe and away from the water while their parents work. The charity is also helping teach children to swim and train lifeguards at Cox’s Bazar on the east coast of the country.
The impact even a small donation can have is incredible. Our ride is currently funding creche places for 180 children a day for a year.
